this is really cool to me...it reminds me of the early 90's, something nostalgic about it...

LOl, I can almost see einstein too and yeah I have to agree that there is some kind of apocalyptic feel to this, I loooooove the colours, too.

Great work

The barbie doll is seriously freaking me out....not sure what the meaning is but it still has the Bark look that never fails to leave me feeling as though someone has raided my brain and stolen my nightmares to put on display.

last friday i ran over an owl that looked just like that. damn thing was just standing in the middle of the road. it didn't even try to get out of the way. was sort of wondering what it meant. this complicates matters, excellent work as always bark.

thank you. complications arise when darkness falls, the bibs fall down on overalls, who we think and what we grasp, when darkness falls on rusty clasps...

Another lazy day at the beach with a twist. Interesting symbolism my friend. My friends and I agree that every one of your works could be a movie. Great job on this one.

Classic Bark action.

It's good how you exaggerated the contrast or other effects here. I think I like your work a lot more when it's not all smoothed out and there's no trying to hide the fact that it's an artificial collage piece.

Bark In reply to afp3683 [2005-07-15 10:51:59 +0000 UTC]

thanks. it's a regression, in a way, but i'm looking forward to doing more like this. darkness in broad daylight.

Ok Bark, that's just nuts! How you managed to mix an eerie feeling with fun and frivolity, I'll never know. Or, maybe I'm just twisted to think that is what I see.... one never knows....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Bark In reply to KariAnnLax [2005-07-15 10:48:01 +0000 UTC]

thanks! i felt that the heightened colour gave it just as eerie an effect as darkness, just in a different way. i'll be dreaming in colour for a while now...

KariAnnLax In reply to Bark [2005-07-15 15:29:01 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you're right, it certainly does... I just never thought that was possible. Guess I learned something

I wish I knew if I had dreams in color or not. Someone asked me that, I just don't know!
