Description I've finally finished designing my pic featuring the first few main characters of my fantasy-action comic story (in progress), Crimson Path.

The middle guy is Boack Aldred, a naga warrior mage who is also the main hero of the story. He somewhat acts more stiff and hard-minded in character, but is also clever, confident, and even commendable for his compassion and amity towards his comrades and friends. Another interesting thing about him is that he's quite the studious one, and even a bit of a bookworm at that, which not only makes it a part of his personality quirk, but also his greatest strength, since he has enough knowledge about magic arts that would make him the unlikely new wielder of the almighty magic sword, Crimson, which can harness all the mystic elements of fire, lightning, ice, water, earth, etc.

The lady beside him is Nalia Larkham, the beautiful but lethal rogue/thief whose origins are a bit of a mystery to all (except for the fact that she is one part mer-person with no gills apparently). Personality wise, she is the equivalent of what I would compare as the snarky and sassy yet carefree cheer-leader high school chick whom attempts to infuriate all the obnoxious jock boys around her by going out with the non-stereotype nerd (which would Boack) and eventually becomes infatuated with him. Being the potential love interest for Boack, she also serves in helping him to either lighten up sometimes or grow some backbone when the going gets tougher.
As a rogue/theif, she is crafty and often mischievous, but steals only from the snobby rich most of the time with her pick-pocketing skills. Her main fighting arms is a type of magic weapon (called an Astra) that are a pair of "trident sais" imbued with the magic element of water.

And of course the short guy on the right is Rattimus J. Whiskers, a former rodein (rodent people) miner who, despite not having any real status, can actually be comparable to a dwarf fighter in fantasy RPG standards. Being the impulsive and headstrong fellow he is, he likes to act all tough and huffy so none would underestimate his stature in size. But deep down, he actually has a sensitive and more likeable side from which he would only show to those he can trust, mainly his friends like Boack and Nalia. Though he's the not the best fighter around, he can very well still stand his ground and put em up, especially when he's got his own astra weapon, which is a massive gauntlet with a drill on top of the wrist that is imbued with the magic element of earth.

Thanks.

You really think I should make it into a webcomic?

I mean I did kind of thought of it once, but wasn't so sure about it at first since it wouldn't much profitable.

Then again, it does sounds great and even more sensible. The only obstacle of course is trying to configure in making a website for it.

Yeah and beside what makes a little different from most others fantasy stories is that your main character is a Lizard Folk while most other main fantasy characters are human or a elf. But you should not rush into too quickly give yourself time like thinking up more characters and creature (plus it wouldn't hunt use some of the creatures from DnD., what kind of adventures they be, and yes trying to configure in making a website for it as well.

Are you kidding me, most of all the main characters and bad guys are either mammal folk or reptilian people, with some humans and humanoids on the side. And yes, D&D bestiaries and elements are existent in CP, most of them that is. Everything else would pretty much be some more creative aspects, like new races and monsters especially.

And of course, a whole series-type story is in progress. It's mostly ready in my head, but getting it on a comic strip or a written premise is the real challenge. But it's worth it.

Okay, but can you name a few fantasy stories with the main character being a reptilian folk?

Err...I'm not sure.

If you mean by media-wise, there were some hit-n-miss 80's/90's action cartoons such as Dinosaucers and Extreme Dinosaurs. But if you want something really extraordinary, try Terry Jones of Monty Python's comedy cartoon called Blazing Dragons. [link] Which I think you might like very much.

And if you want, you can check out my gallery which has some other CP character pics and the first few comic strip rough drafts.
