Description This is another 1:72 assembly kit of the company "Revell" that I assembled, glued and painted and put into a nice scenery.
A Spitfire Mk V.

I chose to give it a classical Spitfire look.

Also I have to mention that the decals in this kit are superb.

Nice! A little tip (although it doesn't really apply to European theatres as much as others) is to paint the tires a medium-grey matte colour instead of black. It seems a bit counter-intuitive but looks really good when used on the right aeroplanes.

Sadly, no. I haven't had the right aircraft to use this method on yet, but I have seen some very nice models which use grey tires.

I am in the middle of working on one, but issue is that I lost the decal sheet. I am thinking of adding a bit of "dirt" to the tires

Oh.. Well you can try making them custom with stencils.

Hmm, but I wouldn't make them too dirty since planes didn't extensively roll over dirty soil.

I know, just a little brown on the tires is all. And darken the machine guns in the wing and the exhaust area.

no, where I live is where the battle of Britain happened. I live in Kent which is the closest county to France, most of the fighting was above the county and my town was in the middle of it
