Description Spent most of the day sketching this. It was pretty painful having to look at photos of starving people all day and listening to twisted music, but for art, one must endure.

Wickedly surreal... There's a lot of intricacy here that I think I'd have to stare at for a while to really get, and that's great.
Have to admit, shamefully, I glanced over your thumbnails in your gallery and totally saw a kitty jumping up at a mouse and clicked on it... and it was this. *doh* Sometimes, I'm not really "all there"...

This is really interesting though!

I can definitely see where you're coming from with that. The spine-tubes look a little like whiskers where the worm in the skull's mouth could look like a rat's tail.

It's flattering that somebody could see different things in a picture of mine.

I'm a total fan of individual interpretations, especially on the more surreal veins of art. It's awesome when stuff can be seen different ways (to me), so I figured I'd share.

...even if it was a kitty.

Wow, fantastic, surrealistic and very well done.

You really, really have a great knack for the surreal. You should pursue this course art-wise.

I don't know if you see this...but this website has some incredible surreal art. I've spent weeks looking over the artwork there, check it out.

Maybe I should stick with this sort of thing. I really enjoy surrealism and it allows for way more artistic freedom than just drawing muscle anthros all the time.. Not that I mind drawing them, but I really need more.

Thanks for the props and the link!

Here's a link to an artist that I find most intriguing...and scary.

Surreal to say the least!

Well go with what you feel, I always say. The art will drag you in one direction or the other along with your interests. I'm evolving beyond anthro as well. I'm not sayin' I'll never do them again, they can be fun...but having sold a painting in a real gallery, (and an ink work too) it's kinda hard to go back doing $20 commissions, though I'm so very grateful for those that liked my stuff enough to ask and pay.

I know that I like the symbolism in surreal and some of the art goes very deep. I felt that in your macabexar drawing. I've tried surreal and I just don't have enough talent for it...yet. You seem to glide comfortably between genre's with no problem at all and I'm envious!

I look forward to your next piece.

This sort of thing feels just right to me. I've always enjoyed surrealism, though not always macabre until nowadays, but I was really into surrealism when I was a kid. I certainly don't want to completely abandon my anthro characters, though. A few of them shall always be important to me and they will carry on with me into the new era. In whatever form they must take..

Believe me, the gliding is not so comfortable, but this time I feel like I've fallen into a groove that was made just for me.

Keep working, Minos!

It has over 900 views on NG's, but almost none here. Saddening.
