hey bassem, by chance I've seen this pic today... and... yes, it's so true - but... what you think, why is it so?

heey Andreas, nice to meet u here ... about the situation ..its badly true...and almost in every thing ..but "why"......its a great matter .. i d like to meet u and discuss it with u ...but i can say that it is not supposed to be like that ..and it can be rechanged but not easily at all

yes, you're right. It should be different. The Egyptian archaeologists should be the leader in her own field (and not only in talking and presenting himself in all media like the only known Egyptian archaeologist, for sure you know who I mean).
We try to give Egyptian students our knowledge about archaeology in field schools and foreign universities - but the results in more than 80% are not acceptable. And that makes me very sad.

i know , u mean the one with the cowboy hat ...!!
i am very sorry about hearing what u said about students and i know that ... but the problem is bigger..its about the whole way of life in Egypt "now adays" ...i mean "student" means a person who needs a certificate and thats all .. . but this situation is temporary because some of us are discovering our faults ....and u have a 20% of results acceptable....

yes, you're absolutely right. And I'm happy to see the changing in Egypt's new generation, which sees, feels and changes the faults. But often also this new generation sees the foreigners only as enemy which like to take all good things out of Egypt.

But we (archaeologists) working for the science. And since long time it's forbidden to bring old stuff out of the country, which is good. But the world can expect, that Egypt takes care of it's heritage, cz it belongs to the hole world not only to Egypt. And this I cannot see - believe me. What I've seen, how some (for sure not all) Egyptian archaeologists handle precious things...
And if we say: "take care, it's fragile" they just saying, "it's our stuff, and we can destroy it if we like".

You wouldn't believe whats in the basement under the Cairo Museum. How this stuff is destroyed cz of false handling or just rotten in an dark corner, without any description from where it is and what it is.
Believe me any other museum in the world would be happy to have stuff like that.

yes ,i ve known a little bit about what is happening under the museum..and even the museum itself....and this is because of the absence of authority and the presence of illiteracy and poverty...leading to corruption...and we have to carry out a sollution for this ..because as i told u its a bigger matter ..about the whole life of us "egyptians" not only egyptology .....and ofcours i am so sorry about that ...........
