A scene from "Hell to Pay" by Simon R. Green. Who is an awesome writer and you should all check him out.John Taylor, our hero. Jimmy Thunder, God for Hire, descendant of Thor and current wielder of Mjolnir. Mistress Mayhem, descendant of Kali and stone fox.
It's a costume party, which is why Mayhem looks like a blue Elvira. Jimmy is supposed to be a Hell's Angel, but I'm pretty sure it's not too different from how he usually dresses anyway.

It's sad that you never see Jimmy Thunder very often. It would be really awesome to see him and John work together for some reason.
Hell to pay is my third favorite Nightside novel, next to Nightingale's Lament and Just Another Judgement Day, and the entire party scene is amazing, this scene being most memorable.

A friend showed me some of the books, I picked up the first and read it in one day. Shortly went on a buying rampage as I got the others and haven't regretted it since.
Awesome supernatural mysteries with guys in trenchcoats seems to be something that holds my interest.
