other than that, I'm really interested on the story behind the illustration. Is this an alamat ng Durian? I haven't come across one yet.

yup. It's a story about eh origin of the durian. It's not very popular myth. It's more known at the southern regions of the Philippines.

I see... that would make sense though. Do you have any link to the story? Or possibly some book about little known myths in the Philippines? I'm really interested. Have you ever come across a myth about the Rambutan? I'm sorry if I'm being a bother
