Did a speedpaint to test out a new art program I found. I used Krita to make this (I think it's similar to photoshop, but its free.) It has a looot of brushes that I tried out... which made making this really fun!I also wanted to test out using bright colors while I'm at it. While I enjoy using bright colors, I feel like I'm almost scared to use it against contrast... I wanted to force myself to do exactly that, and see how many mistakes I made.
Also I realize how small this file is, I tried using a bigger one on Krita but it just made the program run soooo slooowwww >_>
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the results. However, I can see that I still have a lot to learn, and am probably gonna keep trying the color thing to get rid of my fear for it. Expect more color-contrasting pictures in the future!
Ahhh I have no idea why I drew this, I waste so much time at home and I have so much studying to do that I keep pushing off @_@ I don't know whats wrong with me, I'm just tired of always doing work...
Done in 1-2 hours, made using Krita.

Krita's really nice to use! My computer can't handle it though (along with the billion other things I have downloaded), so I don't use it too much anymore, it's too laggy.

best program to do stuff in that I have ever encountered XD
10 times better than photoshop itself even if photoshop may offer more when it comes to certain things and brushes and writing.

Thank you! How big do you make your canvas on Krita? If I make it bigger than 800 x 800, it seems to run extremely slowly for me.

I can easily make my canvas's reach far over 2000x2000 without any lag.
I believe this is thanks to my very strong Asus laptop that I bought last year.
I have this problem with photoshop though.
I think each program depends on the laptop really.
It could be as a little as a few files within the laptop and the program crashing making it slow under certain circumstances.
Or it can be as I've experienced it, that you simply need a very strong laptop to be able to handle such large programs like Photoshop and Krita and many others.

Yes, then it's very understandable to why it's lagging.
My friend who also wanted to use Krita can't go much further than 500x500 I think because of the same thing.
But at least, Krita doesn't require a desktop/laptop/computer as strong as what Photoshop needs to function.
