Introducing-- Portrait speed paints of some of the kids from Hair Like Mine, a children's book I illustrated for LaTashia Perry. To tell you a bit about the book, it's about a little girl with big curly hair, in search of people with hair like hers-- instead she realizes that everyone is unique in their own way

That is awesome some one tackled that topic, kids deal with so much that draws lines and makes them different from the kid in the next seat. maybe dealing with difference and sameness in this way will help a few kids with some of the weird garbage the people in their lives will throw at them.Β
Β Count me in for 2 copies [or tell me where to order it] when it comes out, my mom is a pre-school teacher and my son is going into early childhood education. I'm sure, with you doing the illustrations for it, I can firmly endorse this one without ever reading more than your intro.
