What is a Gardener you might ask?
Gardeners are little critters approximately the size of a squirrel. They have some rodent like aspects along with reptilian and insectoid qualities. They are sentient and live in group communities known as 'Hives'.

Why are they called Gardeners?
Gardeners are aptly named for their method of feeding, gardeners feed primarily on the sap of trees and almost every living plant, in a pinch they can also subsist on flowers and fruit nectars.
In foraging for food they snip errant branches and leaves, often creating natural topiaries and trim bushes. Every Gardener has a little bit of nature magic that lets them heal and regrow the plants they feed from.
Thus preserving their habitat around the hive.

Where do they live?
Gardener hives are built in trees. Starting from the roots up, babies hatch flightless in tunnels on the ground and the adults sculpt many tunnels, homes and walkways within and on the outside of the tree itself. They can live in any type of tree anywhere!

What colors do they come in?
Gardeners come in an endless array of colors and patterns. Practically any combination you can imagine. The most common markings are stripes of any sort but not limited to. Their wings are always translucent unless they are a very rare butterfly-winged Gardener.

How can I get my hands on one?
Gardeners are a closed species which means you can't just make characters of them without my permission. I will be selling Gardener designs that I have made, offering customs & holding MYO events if there is enough interest!
You may not sell a gardener for money or make profit off my designs. You may however trade them for other characters or gift them to friends
