This is my little tribute to my favorite thing in Nordic Hetalia, Sniper!Finland. Hopefully you've seen pictures of him floating around... For those of you not familiar with the history, we have Sniper!Finland because of a certain guy named "Simo Häyhä", (nicknamed "White Death" by Soviet Troops) who, during the Winter War with the Soviet's Red Army, sat in -40 degree weather and killed at least 705 soldiers (with unconfirmed kills accounted for, may have been closer to 1000). DANG, FINLAND.A friend of mine was telling me stories about him before I even got into Hetalia fandom, so it was always kind of in the back of my head... When I saw all these pictures of him in this camo-getup, and finally made the "Finnish Sniper connection", I was absolutely estatic. Seriously, I have witnesses. That was a while ago, but I didn't have time to do a good doodle until just now.
DISCLAIMER: I know it doesn't look like Simo Häyhä, it's not supposed to; it's Tino Väinämöinen (Finland) dressed up like Simo Häyhä.... Way to be a BAMF, Simo!

Yes. I started researching Finland before Hetalia after they scored #1 on some global school test or something... then found the Winter War. I watched Hetalia and hated Finland's personality. Finland is the wife? Really? I love Sniper!Finland soooo much!

It's offical. Finland is no longer named Tino. I am going to call him Simo in my head for the rest of eternity. Because not naming Finland after one of the baddest motherfuckers in history is a damn CRIME. ...Hell, Finland is just badass.

Amazing.. ~Hanachino-Hime told me about this pic and some story about it.
It made me a real fan of Tino and really interested in History of Finland.

Come on the Russo-Finnish war Finland used snipers and Molotov cocktails on Russia. The Russo-Finnish war I find it the war of the snipers. BUt Finland looks hot...Gotta love military uniforms on men
