Essa é a melhor representação do Mapinguari, que eu já vi.

Thanks. Half assed that one too. I should return to it and fix all the flaws. Would look pretty stellar then!

This thing could be slowly mauling me to death and I'd still be laughing at it's mustache

Thanks! I'm a bit saddened it was rushed, though. It could have been better.

Thank you, I do try to do a more slightly different take on them, don't think i was too succesful on this one, I prefer my wicked Ropen which somewhere in one of my dumps.
Yeah! I remember finding your drawing on Google a while ago, I quite liked it.

This design is so unique! I don't comment enough on your work, but I really admire it a lot! You should be a concept artist or something. ^^

Thanks, that's appreciated. And you're right, I should have been. I tried to become one but found myself unable to be creative or produce anything of quality under directions, it just didn't work out in the end. Too bad.

Keeping it as a hobby. Found out a career in the field made me hate art. To think that before studying for it i used to draw every single day, but ever since then i can stay months before picking it again... It's very unfortunate and i feel ashamed.
At least at this moment i'm drawing. I could even submit a new piece now, but i'm waiting for my latest one to gain some attention first.

how can you get such amazing detail with Mspaint?!?!

Oh! yes, the details, great! I struggled alot with the hair though, but i can learn from what i see over time, such as your art for exemple. I quite like them, man.
What's so much fun with that program is how easy it is to just zoom in and have control over every pixel. If you're too lazy to pick up your tablet you can just use the mouse and it'll still be a relaxing experience... on second thought, that may not be for everybody, ahah!

yess... I do the same, always looking at my own art and enjoying them very much. Which always felt a bit weird, kind of like laughing at my own joke or something! geh.
By the way... i've just realised i didn't watch you. Goddamnit Christine, the speech bubbles says "watches you" not "watched them". EVERYTIME!...

I know exactly what you mean, I'll catch myself looking through my own art gallery from time to time haha. Also, how to you save yourself from art block? Everything you draw or create is so unique and fun, I'm always finding myself drawing the same things over and over.

I cannot have artblock (unless working for someone else, then it's immidiate block!) because I have numerous notepads filled with everything i think of and see (see, as in, night visions and dreams, which are basically randomly generated imagery and concepts i can always tap into.)
I also have a varied photo collection in folders ranging from vehicules, minerals, weird animals, costumes, and even weather phenomenons. In addition i have tons of books on myth, folklore, magic, mysteries, etc. Good designs will resist the test of time, so keep looking for what works for you.
You can always ask the question "how could i change this part of my drawing to look more interesting/balanced?". And the tricky thing is that they must also look simple enouph to redraw in as many different situations possible! That can be difficult to achieve. Typical modern fantasy art characters often completly fails this in my opinion because of their pointlessly complex aesthetics. Maybe you can ask yourself another question "Would I walk miles looking like this?" Hahahah! (If they're stationary creatures though, complexy kind of works better! hm! that's a sudden realisation.)
If you want to draw something different, be concious of what you've been drawing (carnivorous mammals) and try something else. Wondering about the results you'd produce is exciting me!
(I apologize for the essay)

Thanks, that really helps a lot. I'm always brainstorming lots of silly story lines, characters and made up creatures but for some reason I never think to make art of it other than quick sketches. I'm sure I've had plenty of fascinating dreams but I can never remember them too long after I wake up, do you keep a dream log or journal or something?

Really? Those could be very interesting to see! Imagine them in your realistic style. I used to have a journal but not anymore. Maybe you could try night visions... It's a term i made up to explain something i've been practicing. I tried explaining it to a friend but she couldn't understand it. You do need alot of imagination for this!
It involves, at first, trying to see things in the darkness of your closed eyes, a bit like shapes in clouds, but instead in the fractal-like sparks of light. The results does not matter, as long it spawns fleeting images and ideas (for exemple, a stranger's face or an abstract shape with certain colors).
Eventually... as you loosen your focus and let your mind wander, the images will become more frequent, clear, and eratic without you trying to look for them, they'll sort of just pop up into your mind instead of your vision. It doesn't always produce something useful, but it's so much fun and weird! Even words and bits of made up music can occur!
It's also very likely that you'll see nothing at all. I most often don't have enouph attention to reach that stage and just want to sleep.

Wow I know exactly what you mean, funny thing is that I used to do it all the time as a child. The phenomenon is actually called prisoners movie theater or something like that (I've forgotten the exact name) it was given that title because there was absolutely nothing to do or see in those old prison cells way back then (not too much different than now I suppose) and they would close their eyes and focus deep into them until visions would appear to keep their minds preoccupied during there long stays with no entertainment (and to keep them from going insane.) I just need to find the time to try haha, maybe on a Saturday night or something?

Ooooh right! I think i heard about that before. You don't really need to find time to do it, do it during your sleep. Sometimes I don't need to do anything to trigger some apparitions, it can happen suddently.
