I really like this; you can't tell it's a manip from the thumbnail. The ligt should probably be reflecting off of the clouds/mist a bit, though, the orb looks a little too pasted in.

Nice. The black and white background makes the orb stand out a lot, and gives it a sense of importance and power.

Very very cool. I love the contrast of the bright color in comparison to the muted background. The shape's simple, but the amount of texture and detail really makes it stand out. Reminds me slightly of the Eye of Sauron from Lord of the Rings.

That is stunning. I love your minimal use of color, your composition, and your background. The use of textures is also very well rendered. The orb itself is a little hard to understand... It seems as if it is on some sort of stand? And that is reflected inside it? Besides that ambiguity, it is a stunning piece that demands your attention. Nice work.

The lighting and particle effects on this are very nice. There is a nice contrast in the colour and good texturing of the ground, however the clouds could do with a little more work. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be distant or near.
