…and the two wild lovers caressed each other's bodies like wild, galloping horses. Their spirits were entangled in the heat of the night and the walls dripped with the passion of their love. The mattress was soaked with fire as the horses danced off into the breeze leaving a world behind them. Without a note they removed themselves from the world and locked their door. The door squealed with excitement as they turned the knob to capture all of the navy blue night sprinkled with orange flecks of intimacy behind it. The two flames lit the whole rest of the room on fire as they twirled over the carpeted floor. She danced into a shaking rapture inviting him to join. He waltzed over her throbbing body and brought her up with him to the ceiling. With the blades of the fan tickling their bare backs, the two collapsed into a bed sprinkled with scented candles and removed stockings. The navy blue returned to overtake the orange and bring night back into their room.

Curled up as tight as a loom she turned the next page with her shaking hand. The next pages were bare and white. The final words were not enough for her. Her body was limp and cold with a missing touch. Her room was pitch black with specks of navy blue, and she longed for the orange to dance across her eyes in a fury of dashes. How she wished herself to be a horse and to be able to dance with the dangers of fire. She tucked the dripping orange pages under her mattress in the hopes it would soak though her bed, only in the morning to find herself alone again, wishing, wanting, hoping.
