Description

It's finished. Only took at least 50 hours, but it's finally finished - and guess what? I'm proud of it. Those of you who have followed me a while might know what a rare occurrence that is - I'm not only satisfied, I'm proud.

And I feel I have a reason for that as well - this has fulfilled at least 4 of my art goals (drawing more fullbodies, drawing more detailed backgrounds, combining reference photos and using my own reference photos). And it might also fulfill the goal about general improvement. And, of course, it shows how great those new Faber-Castell Polychromos really are.

Also, I finally managed to use of CastleGraphics ' lovely wolf stock photos. I know, I tell her all the time that a lot of her stock is on my to-do list, but somehow I never seem to use them... Well, here we finally are! (And trust me, I will use more of the stock...)

To the background / foreground / general scenery. It's a waterfall some 90 minutes walking away from home, and it's basically my favorite place ever. Here is a (crappy phone) photo taken last weekend: 20190920 174829

This drawing shows only a "small" part of it (although the proportions do not fit with the wolf - the wolf would be like three meters long if this had happened in real life... I would love to see that, though.)
