Thank you...I really had fun with this one...no screen relative calculations to figure.

This is so incredible! There is a wonderful sense of depth and dimensionality in this fractal! Amazingly beautiful!

Thank you...I thought I was finally ready to render but I thought, what the hell, I'll add another texture layer and I'm glad I did. I think it looks much better.

You know... I actually REALLY like how flat and graphic this looks... very unexpected! : ) And I totally those textures baby!

Thanks...it's hard for me not to create everything in 3d, after all, that's what fascinated me about this program. Maybe after I take the Artistry course I'll have more of a feel for the flat looking designs. Thank you very much for the comment.

Very nice Kim ! I always like your gradients so well.

Thank you Lauren. I'm actually chomping at the bit in this course because Janet is checking every single gradient used in an image and if there are unused color points she lets you know. I don't usually create my own, although I have, most of the ones I have are downloaded and some are Apo gradients which have a bazillion color points. I got called on an Apo gradient in last weeks homework.

I know she just want to get use used to creating a gradient for each layer as we go along but that's not so easy for me.

Just for the record, Kim, it's not that I want you to create a new gradient for each layer (although that's not a bad thing ) There are two much better reasons to eliminate extra control points in your gradients. One, that when it comes time to making some of them transparent in a mask, you won't want to waste time trying to figure out which ones actually affect the image. And two, in my experience, I never really truly understood what was going on in my images until I began to see exactly what part of each layer is controlled by which control point in the gradient.

I don't suppose her classes would be so popular if she wasn't challenging you every step of the way. And I very firmly believe that you'll come through with flying colors.
