That was one reason I didn't find Super Mario Odyssey that good. Other reasons include: Pauline's "Jump Up, Superstar" song gets annoying after a while, and collecting Power Moons and Purple Coins gets tedious and repetitive.

let me rephrase this..... I don't like how they have Starlow treat Luigi. Her shtick of insulting Luigi stopped being funny ages ago and I really think she’s overstayed her welcome if it continues that way.
