#46 - Star. Isn't it convenient that the hilt guard of his sword is a star?
I know the hilt guard looks like that in bankai, and I *think* shikai, which is what his sword is in the pic. If it doesn't look like that in shikai, meh *shrug*This is my first try with copics
I really suck with traditional media!!! But these markers are so nifty 
I used every color copic I had, plus 3 prismacolors because I didn't have enough copics. So pricey! So yeah, Amanda and markers do not mix, but hopefully that will change... 
Drawn in pencil, inked with Sakura micron pens (0.005, 0.03, and brush pen), and colored with Copics and Prismacolors

I use it to fill in large areas of black mostly. And if I feel like attempting Kanji or Hiragana

It's not always a huge deal. I mostly have trouble with markers being different blacks. If it is a little different, you can just up the contrast in PS and it will all look the same color anyway

With my reasoning abilities, I would think id have to ink the parts i wanted to be thin with the 005 first, and then overlap it with a 01 or bigger if i wanted some parts of it to be gradually thicker right?

I use 005 almost all the time because I feel like the fine tip gives you the most control. When I want the line to be thicker at a section I use the 005 to draw a line where the other side of the thick part will be, then fill it in. I do that instead of using a thicker pen because I find that it's hard to not leave a thick dot where you start thickening the thin line. Sorry it this make no sense, I'm a little sick today, and possibly delirious

I have no definte work place for where I do my art so I can't get my lines to be perfect 100% of the time [thank god for pencils!
hmm..but in that case, then you probably would have much need of any other pens besides 005 if you use that to thicken your lines too right?

You are quite right. I use 005 almost exclusively to ink most stuff, but I have a couple thicker ones around for when I want lines of clothes or something to be thicker, and to fill in dark areas, because I must conserve my precious 005 pens

I think I'm starting to get this, but i hope i can actually do it successfully when the time comes lol, not like first-person shooter games where I love to watch people play it, but when I try to play it I always get slaughtered so quickly..

I'm the same way with 1st person shooters. My friends like James Bond, Perfect Dark and Halo, and I suck at all of them! They're still fun though

I looked at the Pearl Paint across the street from my college and there were a very limited amount and no black or 005 so i didnt bother to buy any

I go to a business college so..., but there's an Art college right down the block and all those students get their supplies from Pearl Paint, thats why there are none left...the guy working there said the brush pens should come in two weeks T.T'

Oooo, copics! Very good, especially for your first time using them. I don't really use markers that much, but one thing I do know is to use a smooth thick paper like bristol board, but you probably already did that. What do you mean can't do traditional media? This is great! The one bit of concrit I have is that there isn't a shadow on the right of his face.

Hmmmm...you could always try using a different color for a darker skin tone. I wonder what grey would look like. Experiment!
