Description
In which Thor is the king, Loki is redeemed, and Baldr leads a revolt to usurp the throne of Asgard.I'm practising my storyboards, and this is a crossover between a storyboard and comic, due to dialogue bubbles and layout. And as I recently watched both parts of Henry IV, I got heavily inspired by Tom's captivating performance and the whole epic rendition of the story
So this idea for Loki's redemption (well, post-redemption) came to my mind - Odin is dead (probably died in some battle a while ago), Loki is reformed and made Crown Prince and heir to the throne by Thor, who is now the king. Meanwhile, Baldr whose mother made every object in the world swear it wouldn't harm her son, leads a rebellion to usurp the throne, since he is invincible in battles. Until Loki cuts a twig of mistletoe...
In this one Thor and Loki have been fighting on two fronts, and Thor arrives to Loki's battlefield to see how his brother is doing.
I'll be doing a few storyboards for this Thor-and-Loki-vs-Baldr scenario, most of them inspired by scenes in Henry IV
I hope you like them 
And, by the way - in this version Frigga is not Baldr's mother. Since it didn't seem she was in Thor.

And they all lived happily ever after, The End. I actually like the idea of Thor and Loki sharing the throne, if that's possible, they're just both so different and have such different strengths and weaknesses. Of course, Loki could also be king of the Frost Giants and Thor and Loki peace treaty between the two nations. Truth is, Loki would probably be a lot better off if something were to happen to Odin and he wasn't around, plus Thor would probably share the throne with Loki if that's what he really wanted.

I don't so much go for Thor and Loki sharing a throne as Thor making Loki his heir and 'acting King' whenever he can't manage or is absent. And yes, I too had the idea of Loki being the King of the Frost Giants and thus Asgard landing itself a nice little alliance. Oh, definitely Thor loves his brother so much he'd be ready to downright make up a schedule with one being King for one day and the other for another, and so on. I'm glad you like this piece, I'll make another of those storyboards someday, with Loki offering to single-combat Baldr, and then also another one, with the duel. Thor present in each, of course

Oh, yes, I had the same feeling about this, Baldr soo wouldn't work as Thor and Loki's (well, technically just Thor's...) brother, especially not in this scenario

Gotta say, I love the colour scheme, it makes the whole scene seem very gritty which really suits the battlefield
And both the Odinson Brothers look seriously badass in this. I think one of my favourite moments in Thor was when Thor, Loki, Sif and the Warriors Three were all fighting together, so the idea of Loki and Thor forming a united front against a common enemy (and, of course, redeemed Loki in general) is VERY appealing to me
Also, I love you background. The random soldiers, not too featured and yet not too plain, along with the uneven dirt littered with the remnants of broken weapons, it's just very cool
Anyway, as usual, I love it. Thanks a heap for sharing.
