Description Alone and skiing in the last half hour twilight. It's just the sound of the wind that is still heard, even if it starts to fall to the night.

Location.  North Sweden, near boarder to Finland.

Very nice of you to take the time to comment this picture that was taken in the spring in northern Sweden, and I remember it was a cold spring, so you have right This is taken after a day skiing in desolation, complete silence, just the wind sweeping the landscape is the only sound. One time during this ski-tour saw a ptarmigan, and when see me it running away from me, just to eventually fly away. They are completely white,    the perfect camouflage in this snow covered landscape.

Thanks so very much for the comment

Yes, the light in spring and summer can be wonderful around the polar circle, especially at twilight. I do not why, but it is so sometimes.

  again.

Thank you... Julia for the comment upon this photograph !!

Yes, blue   is and have always been my favorite color. But I try to vary nowadays,     anyway, blue color often get that impression you said, that is, cold.. brr

But, it was not to cold when skiing  that day  ( -10 °C,  2015-03-07, I think it was ). It was some cold for the fingers and feets yes, but mostly it depends on the wind ( fingers and hands ) and sitting stil  outdoor ( for the  feets. For example like around a camp fire )

You like the skis ? I guess they are okay , I was some surprised that the photograph become so sharp although the dimness, it usually does not, some impressive  I think   .

Thank you Julia ! for the interesting comment, the "photo shows the atmosphere of the North" ,I agree of course. Sometimes I  think that it is the only advantage with this place, the view of snow covered landscapes      that some seem to like, but of course it is some more advantages if I start to think further, like,  less crowded place and clean water and nature everywhere.

I love snow, especially new fallen white snow !! It is clean and it is something special to looking at. In wind-swept landscapes the snow can take very special formations, especially att lee side, and that is interesting to looking at also. In dusk, when the blue light is reflecting on the snow it is very meditative to be there. This is such an occasion, alone in the twilight.

On the picture, I am on the way to skiing over a  snow covered footbridge over a creek.

Thanks for the favouring and... take best care Sarny

Ah, I love snow! Out in the western USA, when it snows, and the sun comes out, little tiny rainbows pop up on the surface of the snow! And they have it when it gets so  cold the water in the air freezes. Thats called "diamond dust".

That must have been awesome!

As always,  no problem at all hun!!!

No problem,  I always like to share! It's a really gorgeous occurrence, I wish it happened where I lived now.

Nature is the most fascinating thing, really it is.

Great talking to you too Pete!
