Interesting submission, definitely excellent color, good mix of varying linage types, and good level of detail.
Makes for an interesting avatar, though the background could use a bit more flora I think to complement the image.

Most improvements I find come from unconscious refinements that come about through repetition and practice.
A few times you'll experiment with something and find a new process that improves something, but most of the time you'll learn it just by gradually making your style/procedure more precise by small increments.
