Pure brilliance! It's amazing how much you can communicate through the picture in such short time! Sooo many possible interpretations can be made out of this; the broken glass, the angsty look on his face, the classy background (portraits and candle light :3) all hook you in

Owl had a difficult childhood and now(at the picture) he returns in the Mansion of Shadows(place, where he lived before parents death) [link] He has very bad memories about this place.
