Hey all! It's been a good week to work on art. There hasn't been a lot of work load so I've been able to finish more artwork than I originally had planned. Hope you guys don't mind an early chibi piece. This time I finished up Pearl, from Splatoon 2. I think I've said this before, but I absolutely adore the character designs from the Splatoon series. I'll be finishing up Marina soon to join her. I'm in the middle of a personal debate though. As you all know I work traditionally using copics. I got my copic set years ago and they have lasted me this long without any problems. Recently, however, I've had a bunch of my markers die out and I don't have the funds to replace them all. Normally I'd use the profits I get from selling my artworks, but that revenue has run dry as of late. So I'm thinking that I'll still work on the line art traditionally moving forward, but make the jump into digitally painting my artwork in the future. It won't be permanent, but I already have all the needed tech to create digital art. Traditional has just always been my preference. I'll be able to buckle down and get the refills eventually, just not at the pace that I work. A refill can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to come in. I don't want to stop creating in that time. So I guess my question is, would you guys be alright with a few digital chibis, or should I create a new series for the digital ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
