Is it odd that I would trust the darker looking guy hanging around in back before I would trust this one at the front? Something about the look on his face would make me very wary of him and the freakshow, and maybe I would pass on buying a ticket.

You've got that 100% CORRECT LOL! Darcy is definitely NOT to be trusted, he'll rip you off in a heartbeat loll, he's shifty and conniving! Taboo (in the back) is actually a good guy, not evil, but he's mostly only worried about himself and he's always caught up in something- like a new trick, magic act etc. <3
