It does look a little off, just the ankles though, although a lot of games have weird features like that
KH has eversized shoes on its characters
Mario has an oversized nose.. etc...

Hm I think this looks different at first glance but actually, I think he pulls off the style quite well. I always did wonder if they intentionally wanted to change Ratchet's style in ACIT but anyway, it looks good on him. Really nice transition.
