I had the insane privilege of sitting with Liam and Bill Sienkiewicz in the Madefire studio as i was inking this page - it was Bill's idea to do the shadow with a sponge - not something i've tried before. I think it really made the piece - giving a difference between the dip pen line work of MONO and the texture of the shadow. The quick masking made the shapes geometric, another tension i like...if only Bill was around all the time!
