I'm not terribly familiar with that fandom, but I have done one art card of Loki and one of Thor as per a request by someone. I am a HUGE LOTR/Tolkien fan though and have been since way before the films came out. I first read the book in 1978 I think. I'll look forward to seeing more of what you come up with!

Hey, i saw your art and thought i could write a short review.
(My english isn´t perfect, hope it is ok if there are some mistakes)
Firstly your drawing style looks quite good and it looks as if you are learning about each image you draw in the past.
But there are several details which are easy to avoid but could make this drawing much better. The left eye is not really round and gives the hole character a strange expression, the shadow between mouth and nose is to dark and has to be a bit softer, the same with the shadow under the mouth.
Normally the eyebrows gets smaller in the middle and for elves their are to straight.
At least try to do some softer but darker shadows if you want to get your Protraits more plasticity.

Thanks for your comments. After reading them, I tweaked this a bit and put the new version up with the softened shading. I think you'll see the difference. I didn't really change the eyebrows since I think the shape is actually right on for this particular elf. He kind of has caterpillar eyebrows!
I'm glad you are enjoying my art. Almost all of my other portraits (other than one other one) are all miniature sized-the size of a baseball card, so it was fun to see if I can still draw in a larger scale.
