Polite applause dappled the air as Kunzite drew nearer, waiting for the first few notes of his special request. Mercury’s eyes flicked up to his in question. Weren’t they finished?
He chuckled. Certainly not.
“You know, there is something I have been wanting to teach you,” he said, eyes glittering. “Think of this as more of a lesson, if you will.”
Her eyes hardened. “You asked for one dance, Kunzite. You don’t get another.”
“Oh, but that wasn’t a whole dance,” he scoffed, sliding his hand back around her waist and raising her right hand in his. This time, he drew her whole form against the planes of his body. For the dance he had requested from Zoisite, their figure must move as one. He had briefly considered the Paso Doble for this lesson, but it was a bit too free for interpretation and required skill on the part of both dancers. His face hardened, intensifying as the first few notes of the music sliced the air and he lunged forward, stopping suddenly in the first throes of this dance. His right hand jerked at hers, whipping her face back around to his own. Surprise and fear flashed across her features; she had not expected that. Another slow smile crossed his lips.
“Welcome,” he said, “to the Tango.”

I think my favorite part of this is Kunzite's hand on her back. The flow of her dress, the look in their eyes....it's all very lovely.

I hope that I can do more of these soon....
oh, and if you're confused, kunz is in a ballroom costume, and merc is in her dark princess gown. the picture that comes before this is here: [link]
