Born as the 3rd child in a wealthy and respected family, she was raised in protecting and living by there family legacy. Her parents were strict and firm, wanting their children to know about honour and integrity there family stood for. Zhang Qin learnt that family loyalty was everything, Zhang Qin being the third born, never had much of a chance to become the heir and head of the family, but she did her best to uphold her family traditionally.
being a formalise women as she took little pleasure in such trivial things, she studied a small amount of fencing combat and learnt the ability to use a sword, but it was never a passion for her, she just wanted to make her family proud, She was never a prodigy and hardly was picked up on the radar of positivity from her parents but she has grown used to this. She didn't take much interested in boys and finding a husband but if her family so deemed it she would be obligated to follow through with the plans.
She always had a sort of strained relationship with her older sister Zhang Li, who was a much more free-spirited sort of person, Qin believed it was a path for dishonouring their family. So when news of her sister sudden desertion of the family, it set a sour seed in the grass monkey mind, she didn't have high expectations of her sister but this was simply unforgivable.
Zhang Qin wanted to track down her sister and bring her back, however, she even though she wasn't exactly old enough to be trusted with this task yet, due to her being Li sister they made an expectation to her and allowed her to track down her sister before they lost her trail.
She spent almost a month tracking down her sister it was no easy task, but her sister wasn't the best of... hiding exactly. She eventually tracked down her sister location and cornered her. and she yelled that she found her and she was going to take her home. Her sister Li was adamant that she wasn't going home. Li even offered to stay with her and come on the adventure with her. that it would be way better than the duties back home.
For some reason, Qin even humoured the idea, the idea of adventure, the idea of freedom. This was a blissful thought, maybe she could finally bond with her sister that was nice... she started to hold out her hand to take the offer, however no selfish thoughts. They had to return. She watched the hopeful look leaving her sister eyes, as she said she still wasn't coming back, Qin kept trying to convince her, to convince her they had to go home, to think of their family, to think about their niece Mei. but Li was getting frustrated
and hurt that Qin wasn't going to come with her saying they had to go, or she can go and take the role that Li was meant to have, but no that simply wasn't something Qin could do she would never be accepted.
Qin got frustrated and grab hold of Li hand saying that they had to go home now, it started within a little tug of war of the two sisters until Li shoved her shouting for qin get back. This was it she had no choice, she unsheathed her blade she would fight her sister into submission.
Qin had the advantage because while she's been training, her sister had been slacking. She knocked down her sister to the ground and was ready to tell her once ago for her to go home, though suddenly Lin stood up and unleashed her fire in her hurt frustration.
Suddenly there was a large scream came from Qin, though Qin couldn't see anything during this moment Li wasn't going to let her sister just burn up and dragged her away from the fire that was consuming the area. She yelled for help, though it sounded distant to Qin, Qin was in so much pain and was sobbing because of it she didn't have the will in herself to fight back.
Suddenly an Arcanine woman appeared glaring at Li and chasing away the infernape. the women carried Qin back to her home and started to get some help from some medical professional. It took weeks of recovering, days Qin didn't even speak or wake up at all, however, she started to speak to the Archanine women that she believed saved her from her sister fire.
when Qin felt confident enough to go outside, wearing a bandage over the side of her face where the burn mark was, she needed the fresh air. She didn't know.... but she could swear she saw her sisters tail.. but as soon as she took a double-take it was gone.
during the weeks, the months of recovery, she started to bond with the Arcanine women that saved her, it was strange she never really bonded with people back at home, but she felt comfortable around her, she listened to the arcanine and how she was unhappy with her relationship. Qin tried her best to give advise, it wasn't really a subject she was well versed in, but she tried to support her as the Arcanine helped her.
She started to enjoy the little outing she used to do with the women, that she started to feel weird... a good type of weird. She started to really enjoy the women company and whenever she would come to see her. however soon enough she figured out the Arcanine didn't seem the same way, she would see her hanging around with random guys, to have time away from her husband.
It soon got to the point where Qin felt recovered enough to be able to deal with things on her own, so she found a place for herself to live in, she decided not to return home yet really she decided to self-exile herself ashamed of her defeat. maybe one day she'd track down her sister and be able to return.
Qin didn't see her Arcanine friend for a while until one day she turned at her down, with a child in her arm, she seemed to be in a rush, she said it was time for Qin to own up to her debt for saving her life, by taking care of her daughter. Qin bit her lip but decided to agree to it, with the baby in her hands, the child in her arms was a nickit....she heard about a Thievul
that her friend was seeing a disgusting criminal he was, did she really have a child with him? Qin never wanted kids, never liked them either.... why did she agree to this.
She considered maybe finding somewhere else for the child, however... she felt compelled to look after the child, was it because of feelings for the women who gave birth to this child, maybe even that in a way she reminded her of her niece. But she had a concern would this child become a criminal.
Qin was really not the motherly type, she was awkward all through the process of raising her new daughter Valkyrie, she might have labelled her as a criminal even before she knew Valkyrie would be, but maybe this would encourage her to prove her wrong. Qin kept training in her free time, to prepare for a maybe rematch with her sister, though she had an obvious disadvantage now with her sight.
She was glad to see that Valkyrie started to resent criminals like her, perhaps the way she was raising her daughter was making a positive effect on her, though she always held onto that hidden concern that the Nickit will become a criminal though her daughter started to get more an interest in law enforcement so it seemed like things were working out. When Valkyrie enrolled in training to become a police officer, Qin helped her to get her own place. Now that Valkyrie was out of the home, she was alone again.
She got letters about how training was going with her daughter and would meet up on occasions she had no idea of the turmoil that Valkyrie was going through within the ranks of the Police, due to the fact she was a Nickit, and it wasn't until one day when she got a Police officer arrived at her daughter informing her that Valkyrie had been arrested due to helping a criminal escape.
Qin met her daughter with a disappointed glare, what had gone wrong- everything was working out- why did it suddenly go wrong, she didn't want to hear excuses and told Valkyrie to get out of her sight and not contact her again. It was 3 long years until Qin heard anything from her daughter, where she sent her a letter about how she joined the guild and Team heart.
the small little meeting up with her daughter led to her discover that her niece Mei had joined the Guild to get stronger for the same task Qin was sent to do all those years ago. She also discovered that one of the leaders of Mei's Team...Was none other than Li son Jun. and that his mother was around the area.
After a few days from her visit of her daughter, she was thinking hard, she wanted to reforged the bond with her sister... but also get stronger to take down her sister, maybe after all these years... she can finally return home with her honour?
