You have more than sufficiently captured the feeling. This is hilarious and a "lol so true" picture. Love it!

I'd like to storyboard one! (Not good enough yet to make an entire short on my own...maybe one day!)

Wow, I know this feeling all too well. I love the emotion of this piece. Everything from the colors, the expressions, and the imagery really gets the story and the point across. I love art that tells a story.

Wonderful!
I love how you've captured the childhood feelings in the style as well as the angle, colors, and proportions. Just lovely!

I can relate to this, deffinately. The pure terror of not practicing and your teacher looming over you, saying, "Haven't you practiced you scales?" used to scare the crap out of me.

I play guitar but the reason I quit taking lessons was I was learning the same chords over and over and over and not moving on to something different

OMG... I can totally relate. I thought it was only me. This allows me to let go of some of that guilt I still carry after 20-years. Thanks!

Oh yes how I remember *shudders* it was worse when I didn't clip my nails, my teacher always threatened she'd clip them herself if I didn't do it (which she did once T_T) It sucked since my hands are so sensitive I hate to clip them. Piano lessons gave me the bad habit of biting my nails.
Luckily my mom realized how much it stressed me out and let me quit. I was there for a good year and a half though.
This is a wonderful piece! I hated the lessons, but piano music in general I love so much.

Lol, you UNDERSTAND! Your teacher really clipped your nails herself? That's crazy. Piano lessons...oh, the memories...hahaha.

Oh yes, I couldn't believe it myself. And my mom wasn't to happy when I got home, she admitted that I "did" need to clip my nails to play piano so it wouldn't make the clicking sound on the keys, but what my teacher had done was crossing the line. What made it worse for me is that she was (before I switched to homeschool) she was my school librarian, and she's always been on the strict side.
Oh yes, the "memories", last song I remember completing when I was there last was Minuet in G. I still remember the tune quite well, since I had to do it over and "over".

Oh mylanta, the minuet in G is the *worst*. Worse than fur elise even. (And why do librarians always become piano teachers?)

artistic-minds In reply to BetterthanBunnies [2009-04-04 05:26:41 +0000 UTC]
I had to do it over...and over....and over..and...well you get it. It was "never" good enough for my teacher. I never got to fur elise, I had a few more songs to go. But that was actually one I would have rather done.
I have no idea why that is, but man, I thought she was strict enough as a librarian, she was way worse as a piano teacher! She was the type of person that, if she was in a good mood she was very sweet, but if she wasn't she was a complete grouch and she terrified me.
