wow...this is an excellent photo..the shot looks great, i love the focus, and the point of view..or the perspectiveness of this. And I also think it's great you zoomed in on his face. You really see the pain and sadness in his eyes. I feel so bad for him. This picture just makes you want to pick him up and hug him, and show him that the world does offer comfort and compassion. Really, though, you really captured a lot in this picture. Nicely done!

Hey.. Thanks for the comment. These particular pictures are pretty special to me, I felt a range of different things when I was in the company of this little boy and his friends. Initially my thoughts were similar to what you felt from the photograph. Then when i found out he could speak four languages fluently!! and had such an incredible street sence.. he was a master of his environment and it was very impressive given his circumstances.
Thanks for the comment.

Hey! You're welcome. And wow! Four languages fluently? I can barely speak my native language right..He really was a master of his environment. Yes, I agree it is very impressive. I can see why this picture would be special to you. Keep up the great photography!

Very true.. it takes a lot of energy hanging out in Cambodia but the kids are a real treat, they're so personable, they have a great sense of humor and the most incredible thing is they can speak three sometimes four languages!

good use of dof for this one.
maybe is a bit too central.. the child is looking to the right and u should let more space for what he is looking at.. I'm not sure if I explain it well but when I look at the pict is not cursive.. (there's a rule for composition but I don't know the english term.. golden triangle or something)

Rule of thirds i think you're refering to.. I cropped the image up to apply to the rule and found the image had more impact was like this, it kinda reminded my of wide screen film. If i had alot more room on the right i probably would have cropped it tight to the left.
Again, thank you for you valuable critique.
Bevels.

I agree, there is no movement to sense the child's gaze to the right isn't to see something but has a sense of dispear
