Loving the minimalistic approach with the limited colour palette and background...almost a complete lack of texture, but for the dividing line that splits it in two.
I think what I like the most is the sense of the arm reaching out to touch the floor, but just failing to do so. The shadow adds a lot to this effect, because it's hard to tell exactly where the floor is in relation to the fingertips without. Good side-lighting choice.
Only critique falls on the arm. It looks slightly washed out - not sure what you did to get the high key effect, but whatever it is has had a bit of a negative impact on the flesh. Tricky situation though - I'd have been tempted to meter off the background for one shot, then shoot again metering off the arm (should give something like f/22 for the background and maybe f/8 for the arm) and then combine the two frames in PS afterwards to get the complete dynamic range. Still, it's not that much of an issue, more of a very minor niggle.
White balance is fun. Shoot in RAW if you can, then you can adjust down to individual kelvin levels.
