Blue John, or Jay for short, is a gem that was made during the colonization of Earth by Homeworld. Blue John gems could only be made in a very specific area, thus are very rare. Jay is often seen as quite spontaneous by others, though she denies it. She is quite fearless and will often charge into random situations without any thought. When she trusts someone, she will selflessly do anything for them. When people are confused or losing hope, she will try everything in her power to keep them upbeat. When this fails it can sometimes knock her confidence for a bit. Although she may seem irritating, she is actually very useful to have around in bad situations, due to her instincts. Jay also speaks in a Derbyshire accent, due to her origin, which often got her mocked by other gems. When arguments break out, Jay will attempt to calm the fighting. Strangly, her presence will often help the people arguing to think through their ideas and come to some form of compromise (Jay insists this is a coincidence and has nothing to do with her)
