I was finally able to shoot an Anime project.. after quite some time. This seems to be a popular one these days - Madoka Magica - I had this idea sparked from the colors of the cosplay - Gold, lightly lit background was needed!
This location will remain unnamed due to the lovely experience we had with the authorities of the place that I had permission to shoot at. Truth be told though, and this is no lie.. I clicked the button a total of 3 times before I had to wrap it up.
Not bad for a 3rd click?
The guns were stood up by chicken wire that we stuck up the tubes of them and made 3 little feet for each of them. I shopped out the wire

It could only possibly be a Greek (from the lack of a soleas in front of the iconostasis) cathedral (because of the eagle she's standing on; that's really the bishop's spot), and you're in Atlanta, and the Greek cathedral in Atlanta is shaped like a flying saucer, so a totally modernist iconostasis is only to be expected...
It never really was a secret in the first place.

Photo and composition is really good, lighting as well just perfect. Congrats with DD and that's cool that You do such a big job.
But contrast of church and little magic anime girl character looks just absurdly, sorry if that sounds obnoxiously. And as Orthodox myself I really don't think any church can be suitable for _cosplay_ shooting.

I think only about feelings of religious people. Everyone should respect feelings of other people, and I haven't said something offensive, I just said what I think about location, though I made a compliment for photo itself and the work of photographer and cosplayer.

But I think the background doesn't fit the character at all. It doesn't look like anything from the anime. And of course, the church is not an appropriate place for the shooting.

Since some people asked, I'm guessing this is the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Atlanta, GA. The Iconostasis of a church is often beautiful. Your use of light gives the setting an interesting quality.
I'm not familiar with Madoka Magica. Does it have religious themes that would have led you to use a church?
