Lovely shot. The DOF is nice .. and I love how the touch of colours from the flowers adds a touch of life to the photo. I love how that touch of colours seems to tell us that there's still life and hope in a bland and colourless world ... something that complements your title. On the other hand, I think composition could have been better if the flower had not dead in the center. Other than that ...
