HD as in high definition? No, but the effect was to make it look really sharp and bring out detials. I guess you can say it's faux-HD?

I like the textures in this one and the colors that are kind of over staturated. It gives it kind of a dirty look...in a good way

I was really going for an acid burn feel. I'm glad you enjoyed this photo, it was one of my least favorites so it makes me happy to know people liked it. It doesnt feel like my style but I guess sometimes we have to step outside of what we usually do?

I really like this photo....it is so grimy and just saturated with texture and emotion. I love the oversaturated colors and how dirty it looks....It really looks like there is a story behind it and that is very helpful for photography I think.

I just saw this photo on your myspace page and thought "This is a great photo. Why didn't you post this to your dA site?" Well, I guess I wasn't paying attention because here it is!
I love the composition and pose. It reminds me of a construction worker that is resting after a long hard days work.
And as usual, I love how you played with the color saturation.

I was staring a long at this picture of yours Jimmy β¦ Lots of things went thru my mind as I wonder what let to this shot β¦ itβs different angle than normal, not to say weird but different rather, the pose, as if it relays a frazzled and wearied you, but then the background, it really puzzled me as it looks like you sitting on dump or something like that. The manipulation is super cool, I love it! But the one thing that I could not figure out is the title βunripeβ.
Please do not scrap this it is great.

I decided to title "unripe" because it felt finished but it wasn't matured and it didn't really seem like something I would do. Also, unripe things in Japanese are considered to be blue and not green and this piece is (like most of my pieces) a heavy play with blues.

Man jimmy this is awesome. I need to check out your pics more often. Heck, i need to get on more often. I`m looking at it on my phone, so i can't get the full effect of the photo and the grainy-ness, but from what i can get, it rawks!

I think the grain is an important part of the piece. It adds to that grungy feel (along with the cigarette and catoic background).

Why do you say it doensn't really scream "Jimmy Koria"?
It has a consistent grainy look, some disdain at times. You said it yourself with perfect words about your belly, it looks funny. And besides the grainy look, you even got the colors to be consistent!! That's a hell-of-a-job!!
It screams your name, but maybe not as before. Maybe just the pitch is changing...

I guess in a sense it has similiar elements to my other photos but it feels like something someone else would do. I guess that's the joy of trying new things. You can feel like someone else.

I really like this. I don't think you should scrap it.. It seems so vibrant the colors are so rich.. and whats wrong with being unripe? I like unripe things.. unripe bananas unripe apples and and.. well thats about it.. but still good stuff.
