So, there are three segments of slots to choose from...
Pre-story, In-story, and post-story...
Are you still working on their relationship as a post-story romance?
(Reserved spots for Sesshoumaru-Romantic interest in pre-story, and sisterly for a post-story section ((I think...)))

Pre-story-before the story of the manga/anime takes place...like in the times of Midoriko, the time of Inuyasha's and Sesshoumaru's parents, and generally before any of the Inuyasha groups even met. So that includes Inuyasha's life before the group, but that can include his time with Kikyou. And the lives of Sango, Miroku, and Shippo.
In-Story-In the story that had been taking place within the manga/anime; the collection of the shikon no tama to the death of Naraku to the seemingly end.
Post-Story-After the end of the story within the manga/anime.

So, I will reserve you as a post-story romantic interest for Sesshoumaru! ^-^
Pre-story and post-story are easier than doing in-story OCs because then you can do more of what you want and create your own story, that is hopefully in many ways connected to the original.
But, with the ending of the series, that can be very confusing and painful to create a decent heroine OC. Without making her seem like a slut! (talking about Kira! Not Yukiko!)
At least Sesshoumaru isn't allegedly "married" to anyone. Makes things easier for you.
And when I get the group going and everyone in, I will help you with your story in connection with Japan and the original story. I'll post resources or something. (I've found some nice sites before! You can also go to M. Skirvin for information on the series, she's done a lot of research. Plus, I want to invite her to the club! ^-^)

Yes, Inuyasha and Kira have an uncommon romantic relationship that I call "Koyuu", it's created from the word koi-love, and the part of one of the words for friend, yuu.
So they're close friends and they love each other. I thought of that years ago and you're free to use it. The kanji for the word are also easy to find. Koyuu is also s pun for the word "happy friend", also pronounced koyuu.
And about the marriage thing...
When I first learned about it, I was in complete shock because I didn't expect that kind of ending, it heard too fan-made.
But, since Kagome came back as a priestess, and rememebering Kikyou said that her being a priestess restricted her from a regular life, I remembered priestesses are similar to nuns. They cannot get married, not in the Sengoku Jidai. It would ruin their purity and that is why Kikyou's powers had gotten weaker since she met Inuyasha.
I also read M. Skirvin's analysis on the ending and she knew that and she even pointed out that Inuyasha never agreed to what Kagome stated, he seemed annoyed and disgusted. She also wrote that the ending only tuened out the way it did was because if it didn't end that way the millions of Inu/Kag fans would be pissed, so...It became open ended a bit so both sides would be pleased.
The ending was meant to say that they might get married, not that they are. So, I take advantage of that situation...Yes.
Plus, Kagome can't just decide something like that, even after not see him for years. That's just crazy and immature. So, I also took advantage of Kagome's decisions.
I do not want to make Inuyasha and Kira look like bad people, they both already have a lot punched onto them (like what people think they're like).
Yes, M.Skirvin does have an OC, and maybe even s few others. Her story is anothe post story that continues from the anime, not the manga. It's about Inuyasha and his family, all the puppy-demons!
^-^

Aya, since she used to be a temptress, thinks she can try to seduce any man she wants, including Miroku. But Sango gets her for it.
Miura's karma is a little more complex...She for a long time flirts and hits on Inuyasha, but she always gets denied, making her crazy.

But the odd thing is is that she's not as into manga/anime as Kira is. Didn't see that when I first made her.

Sometimes odd things happen when creating OCs...Not too long ago this year, I was on Rumic World and I went to the Urusei Yatsura section becsuse I felt like it and I was thinking of watching the anime (if I could find it). And while I was in that section, I read about a girl named Ryoko, she's Mendo's sister, and she heard a lot like Miura Kondo except for the fact that she was extremely rich and had people work for her. I didn't even know there was another person that much like her out there! So, in a way, Miura Kondo is an allusion to Ryoko Mendo (1978)!

I suggest you read a few other Takahashi Rumiko manga like Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Mermaid Saga, One-Pound Gospel, and you can watch/download/rent Rumic Theater Anthology. Most of these you can find on anime streaming sites, and most of these manga are available at libraries. You get get some on Netflix.
But adding allusions, cameos, and things like that of your people and the others will help your continuation. ^-^

I've read Mermaid Saga and Maison Ikkoku and they're very good. Ranma is very funny, and I've only seen the end to Urusei Yatsura (movie 5), but it's good! I've also watched the Rumic Theater Anthology, and if you love Inuyasha, you will love these too!
Unlike with the Inuyasha movies, the Urusei Yatsura movies are from the manga. It might be like that with the Ranma ones too.
But those are all good! Very good!

Yes, I was not disappointed and you won't be either.
And then there's Rumic Theater/World! But those short stories are very hard to find. I know you can watch FireTripper in places, it's another time-travel story. It came out in 1988, I think. There's also a site for it called Ember Flames, you can read some manga scans there and see screenshots, I love that site! It also has some Inuyasha stuff in another section! ^-^

I know the story, maybe too much of it for have not read it or watched it. But it's about a girl named Suzuko who is walking with a little boy named Shu, and then she gets hit with a gas leak and ends up in the Sengoku Jidai and meets a warrior man, who needs pants, named Shukumaru. But, why is she there? And why is there a little girl named Suzu saying she's like Shukumaru's little sister? Can you guess?
And then there's another, lesser known story, like this one, called Sleep and Forget...
It's about a girl named Haruka, I like her, who has dreams about three people; a girl, a boy who's a dogkeeper, and an old lady. And then one day, a boy named Ryohei moves into the town, and he keeps puppies! Then Haruka's own little dog gets attacked one time while visiting, and then I think one of Ryohei's dogs gets pregnant and makes a demonic puppy that grows fast into a violent dog. Does Ryohei and his dogs have something to do with Haruka's dreams?
I think that one should become an anime, it's as good as FireTripper and The Laughing Target.

Yes, I love them.
But, with Sleep and Forget, since it didn't become an anime, it's hard to find. I can only find the manga in French on a Rumiko Takahashi site. You can still get what's happening. The site is called something like Retour Au Sources or something like that. It's a very good site, but it just has some general Inuyasha stuff, most of it was when it was new. But for the lesser known stuff, it's good place. You should look there. ^-^

It's a good story, and it's very dark so I don't see why it didn't. Haruka and Ryohei are good protagonists, and I think they would make a good couple since they both love puppies (Inu/Kag have nothing in common, sorry. If you want to know more, I'll tell you.)!

A few years ago, I became very curious about the little things about Inuyasha, actually I've been like that for a while, and so I decided to go to astrology. And so, when I found out his birthday; April 1, 1497, 9:00 pm in Western Japan (Toyama) I found out how scarily accurate his birthchart was! It fit him perfectly! So, then I decided to do it for the others, plus my OCs in my continuation and I found out that Inuyasha and Kira are VERY COMPATIBLE and the relationship type that I decided for them before I knew astrology was in their I-forgot-the-name-chart, the chart for checking compatibility. More freakiness! Kikyou is July 7th (Tanabata) and Sango is May 8th, I don't remember all the others I found out right now, but I have their days saved in a book I have.
But, the reason why Inuyasha is not compatible with Kagome is because, the obviousness in the manga and anime series, and the fact that she's a Cancer (like Kikyou, but that's not the point) and Cancer's have the need to change/conform their mate, and Inuyasha is a naturally rebellious person (even in his birthchart!) and that wouldn't work very good...I haven't found out enough about most of the others to do birthcharts yet, but theirs is very obvious, or it will lean towards more negativity or 50/50. Those are my predictions.

So, Yukiko is your way of being with Sesshoumaru? It's like that with Kira and myself! ^-^ (self-insertion is looked down on, but in our group, it's okay.)
I never knew you hated Kagome, I feared you didn't so I was being very careful! (because most Inuyasha fans are Inu/Kags...)

All Kagome is a brainless damsel who everyone seems to love, and everyone is always on her side when she turns Inuyasha into the bad person. She makes him sit when it helps her, and she flirts with Hojo and Kouga, and she lies to her friends and talks bad behind Inuyasha's back. She never has anything nice to say! And she's mean to her family too.

But, you wanna know the sad thing about doing an Inuyasha project you want people to take seriously? The sad thing is that you can't bash her, even if you want to. She hasn't even come back yet in my continuation yet and I'm already stressing about it all. How will I make Kira react in a way that won't be insulting (because Kira also experienced something bad before the series)?
How much can Kira even react to her being there without her remembering what happened before all this happened to her? It's all confusing and stressful.

It is...Right now in the story, Kira is at a different school for a while and while she was there, her dad found out about why she had been gone. And at the same time, Inuyasha, Daisuke, and Sakuya are on their way to bring her back and help her because there's something bad taking place at the school (demonic possession, and other things.)! And not too long after that, they go back to Kaede's village, and then go to Tawa, a smaller village, and then Kagome comes! Complete panic!

I couldn't keep her gone forever...Would be nice, but then people would get mad and be all, "Where the hell is Kagome?! She's the heroine! She's supposed to live there! You suck!" ...Yeah. Inu/Kag fans can be rabid.
Why did she even go to start? Kagome wanted to catch up to Miroku and Sango, meaning have kids, but not everything can go her (and her fans') way, so she left to pout and ending up staying longer in this time than she intended.
