Description Some books are more than words alone..

This is an experimental picture for me I decided to use a photo reference, something that I normally avoid doing. The painting process took a really long time as I did the whole thing greyscale first before colouring. I've made quite a few mistakes but 'live and learn' as they say! There's a close-up in my scraps of her face for anyone interested in seeing the painting details.

Just love idea with the trees coming out of the pages. It's incrdible how you created the patterns in her dress and giving the fabric that almost 'I can touch the satin feeling' You've got a good eye for detail. At first sight the girl made me think of Celine Dion. Keep up the good work, it's wonderful

Thanks The girl was ref'd from a wedding catalogue, but someone told me she looked liked ginger from ginger snaps (whoever that is). I think a comparison to Celine Dion is better
