Very awesome work on this one, definitely this image is very impressive.
The detail looks fantastic all throughout the image, from the little scratches in the armor, to the wood grain on the axe handle, to the fur lining; everything here is bristling with fine detail which makes the image jump off the screen.
Love the style of this, the design is incredible and this character looks awesome; I like how you kept lots of Nordic features throughout the image, from the runes on his belt and axe to the more obvious horned helmet and braided beard.
Also the color and light effects throughout are really nice and enhance the image well, I particularly like the dark spots around the eyes as it definitely makes this character look more intimidating.
This character kinda makes me think of like a Bezerker with the curious lack of armor in some spots; like his intention is to rush through battle and either die fighting and go to Valhalla or to terrify and cut down his foes with his sheer presence and ferocity.
Definitely though this is absolutely a 10/10 sort of image, and the stuff I wish was featured more on Deviant Art and more popular, I think images like this really help Deviant Art stand out among the other galleries. So thank you for making the effort, taking the time, and sharing it with us. This is absolutely something I'll favorite, and I'd think that anyone who likes Viking stuff would do the same.
Phenomenal work on this posting, very very cool, would definitely make a superb concept art for anything Norse themed.

Indeed, I just wanted to leave you a good deal of feedback because it's clear you put a lot of effort into this image and it should get decent feedback; I wish that it would get you the views that you deserve, but unfortunately the DA community seems obsessed with fan art (even if it's poorly drawn).
Anyway, fantastic work; love your concept art. This would definitely be on my short list for showing people the "best of DeviantArt".

Well, we can't control what other people like. Sometimes i do feel obsessed when i'm a fandom of something.
For this piece, personally it doesn't really matter if it got less views. It is more of a self-exploration. I did experiments with some things and i quite like the result. So, it's kind of a win, at least for me.

Yeah true, it's probably not good for me to want other things to be more popular; I just can't understand other people sometimes is all.
Definitely it looks fantastic though, and I hope the things you learned from experimenting with this show up in other pieces in the future.
But yeah, definitely it's a good piece and probably great overall; even if it doesn't garner huge views.
