Laura, you've gone through a really tough time and I wanted to make you something to maybe cheer you up a bit. I made a quick sketch of your lovely puppy Maylo and well, I finaly found the motivation to finish it.It's still a pretty quick drawing but I really hope you like it.
I'm still learning how to draw realistic animals so this is far from perfect but still I'm pretty proud at this and I truely hope you recognize Maylo in this and I hope you like it and it'll cheer you up, even if it's just a tiny bit.

The shape of his head is a little weird though XD

I know it isn't perfect though I think the shape of the face is pretty close to how Maylo looks like ;3 don't forget he's still a puppy and again it isn't perfect but if you search google for Parson russel terriers most of them have this kind of shaped faces

No need to be sorry. It's okay if you think it looks odd, though next time you think something looks off please add an explanation what exactly looks off and maybe even some advise to improve it ;3 You can also write that all down in dutch if that's easier for you.

That, dear Bim, is the utterly sweetest thing! 
On a sidenote, for a practice, I could give you the tip to try not to use the burn or dodge tool for shading, but to pick and choose darker or lighter colors by hand, it really trains you to think through the lighting, it's really helpful

To be honest I haven't used the burn or dodge. I did use a slightly bit of overlay on the shading but not that much. Though I will practise more natural colors more
