Description
Jiyun and her boyfriend Alexander have a conversation.
Jiyun: (nervously) Alexander, can I ask you something... personal?
Alexander: (smiling) Of course, Jiyun. You can talk to me about anything.
Jiyun: (looking down) Well, you know, the other night... when we... umm...
Alexander: (grinning) Yes, I remember. What's on your mind?
Jiyun: I just wanted to know... did it bother you that I am an amputee?
Alexander: (gently) Jiyun, you're beautiful just the way you are. Honestly, it didn't bother me at all.
Jiyun: (blushing) Really? You're not just saying that?
Alexander: I promise you, I'm not just saying that. You are amazing, and I feel so lucky to be with you. And, if I'm being completely honest, I find the fact that you've overcome so much to be incredibly attractive.
Jiyun: (hesitantly) You mean... my amputation is... attractive to you?
Alexander: (nodding) Yes, in a way. It's a part of you, and I think it makes you unique and beautiful. I'm not fetishizing your amputation, but I see it as a symbol of your strength and resilience. And that is incredibly attractive to me.
Jiyun: (smiling) Thank you, Alexander. I was so worried that you would find it off-putting.
Alexander: (holding her hand) Jiyun, I love you for who you are, and that includes every part of you, even the parts that are missing. You're an amazing person, and I'm grateful to have you in my life.
Jiyun: (tearing up) I love you too, Alexander. Thank you for making me feel beautiful and loved.
Alexander: (smiling) You don't have to thank me, Jiyun. It's my pleasure to be with you.
