This is very accurate. If what you said before is correct (taxing the poor and cuts for the rich) I AM IRATE! I would fall under the poor category, and I have a ton of trouble paying for everything as it is right now. The last thing I need is some rich Republican idiot telling me I don't pay enough taxes to support those who already have the means to support themselves!

Sadly, in the minds of Republican politicians, "bubble-up" economics doesn't work, even though all evidence indicates it does. They're thuroughly convinced trickle-down economics works, even though all evidence shows that it doesn't except in times of stagflation.

From what I've heard right now about 90% of the world's wealth is in 10% of the population's hands. I don't see that changing any time in the forseeable future, unless it goes to a higher ratio (eg, 91% of the world's wealth in the hands of 10% of its people.)

A real sad thing is that there was a petition online recently for congress to make a constitutional amendment limiting what a candidate could spend in a US election. They had over one million signatures on it. Everyone in congress called it "political suicide."
We exported the American ideal to certain other countries. They gave us greed and corruption in return.

They didn't greed and corruption. Greed and corruption was here from the very beginning. Remember the founding fathers where all rich, slaving owning, ass holes who just didn't want to pay more in taxes. Well ok, that's only partly true. The colonist did have some real issues with Great Britain and the British Parliament was not addressing any of them. But there were also just a lot of rich ass holesΒ who wanted to keep their slaves.Β

Greed and corruption goes back way longer than that. It's been around since the dawn of civilization, actually.Β

Not to mention the increasing stupidity in the Republican party.

Palin mistook South and North Korea for one another, there is no excuse for that.

The real sad thing is that there is ANYONE who thinks the republican party hasn't devolved into complete and utter stupidiy, even if Obama's plan isn't working it doesn't change the fact America will recover from that much faster than it would from Sarah Palin having ANY kind of involvement with politics.

True. Unfortunately, to quote George Orwell, they're all wrong, but they're wrong for different reasons.

Agreed. I honestly can't believe I'm glad to be stuck between a choice of either Julia Gillard or Tony Abbott, but after finding out about Palin mistaking North Korea for an ally, I can see why somebody would vote for man who claimed he had visited all "57" states of America.
