Let me preface this critique by saying that I love Black Panthers, they're beautiful animals. Now, there are a few negative things worth mentioning about the piece before moving on to what I like about it. For starters, the nose is disproportionate to the rest of the face. If you look from the scruff of the neck down to the eyes, you'll see that everything seems to have a noticeable continual flow to it. The nose appears to stop this flow, being too short and making the panther look like it is about to sneeze. Another thing is that in the eyes, they don't show off a sort of glisten or shininess that I would like to see. Perhaps the artist could have added a little more shade variation in them as to not appear dull. Now that you've sat through my negatives here are some things I like about the piece. Firstly, it has very smooth and fluid lines, which is commendable. The matting in the fur is very realistic and it makes you almost feel as though you can touch the animal through the picture. The whiskers are different sizes and are protruding out into different directions, which is a comfortable reality. I think the idea of putting a symbolically black animal on a black canvas and working backwards with whites and grays is a fantastic one. As it is also an interesting choice that turned a beautiful animal in to a beautiful piece of art. Lastly, even where the least detail is present in the art, it is still detailed and gorgeously rendered. I admire the artist and hope more they do much more like this in the future.

I agree with most of your comments a d points . Note that I only usd pure white pastels on this one (grey effect is obtain with low pressure of the stick)

Yes, I realize that. However, the point being that the color grey is in fact in the art. It was saying necessarily that you used a grey utensil.
