Der Struwwelpeter was published by Heinrich Hoffmann in 1844. Check out the stories along with his fantastic original illustrations here: [link]

The middle one is just so simple and bruthal, I feel sorry for the poor, silly little girl XD

The Peter one and Suckathumb are really awesome, though, that tailor kicks ass. I'd ran the hell away from me if he'd walk me up like that to chekc otu if the dress fits me XD

You need to do more works in colorpencils :}

The first illustration is from Slovenly Peter/Der Struwwelpeter, the title story of the book. I have each picture posted by itself with its story in my gallery.

And thank you! I thought he looked nicely badass, too XD

I really wish I could speak German! I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're saying to me! :< Did someone read these to you as a child?

They look good together. 8D Johnson was right, you could be professional illustrator for children books.

What a great series concept. Very nice, and appropriately over the top.

Okay. You're really freaking me out because my German professor brought in his ORIGINAL edition of that book TODAY to show us the horrors of German fairy tales where children die. LMFAO. What an eerie coincidence. When I saw the tailor with the blood, I was like, "NO EFFING WAY...."

I am so weirded out right now, but gorgeous illustrations!!
