Description It's the Toxic Avenger! Look at him, isn't Toxie cute? With his little mop, a puddle of toxic goo and uneven eyeballs (yes, they're supposed to be uneven that way o.o) You have no idea just how hard it was to get the color of his skin just so. In almost every reference pic I found, it was a different color.sometimes it was greenish, sometimes it was brownish...I just went with what looked best.

Bet you're wondering why I put one of the most obscure Horror movie icons in this emote set, aren't cha? When I could have put something like an homage to Blair Witch, or I Know What You Did Last Summer, why the bloody fzuck would I make an emote of this guy?

Because Toxie deserves it. The people at Troma Films deserve it. Lloyd Kaufman deserves it.

Why do they deserve it?

Because they fight the good fight, take on the worst odds and the worst scripts, survive the worst possible obstacles and win anyway.

They're determined, they're loyal and they make crappy (and I say that in the most loving way possible) movies for a living. The people at Troma are an inspiration. They keep going no matter how many times people tell them they can't, because they want to keep doing what they love doing and for their rabidly loyal fans. They've totally given the finger to the establishment and I respect that alot. Consider this a little bit of recognition for the people who NEVER seem to get recognition.

I just read 'Make Your Own Damn Movie' by Lloyd Kaufman and it's the most realistic, inspiring piece on film making I've EVER come across. Considering that it outranks 'If Chins Could Kill' by Bruce Campbell, you better believe it's a kick ass book... I've been reading tons of books on indy filmmaking lately, and none of them paint quite so *real* a picture as MYODM. It's scary, and inspiring all at once..go get it at your local library (if you don't mind really coarse language, that is) and read it. Even if you don't want to become a film maker, it will open your eyes to just how much these people go through to make their art.

Rock on Troma...the underdog of B-Movie cinema, you guys are the best.

On a totally unrelated note, Lloyd, may I please bear your child?

What...I'm KIDDING!
