This picture was taken at the holy shrine of Zaynab, the grand-daughter of the prophet Muhammad. The Shi'a sect of Islam is extremely interested in the family of the prophet, and considers visiting this shrine a very holy pilgrimage.The entire shrine was so picturesque I had a hard time picking a nice shot. But with the help of my friends, I managed to pick this one. Maybe I will post some others.

First of all - you are so blessed to have been able to visit the shrine of Lady Zaynab (a.s.)....I hope that God willing, I will be blessed with the same opportunity.
Secondly - I think you did a wonderful job of taking this picture. No matter which angle you take a picture of this most blessed and holy shrine - you can't go wrong. The beauty which it exudes is indeed beyond words priceless...

I am a Christian, but I have been very interested in Islam and Prophet Muhammad (on whom be Allah's grace and peace). The construction of mosques and the sheer beauty they display is nothing short of great. I know that most people don't think that the Prophet was who he says he was, but, as far as I know and what Jesus (Isa) said anyone who believes can be a prophet.

I really love the different lines in this- the tall lamp post drawing your eye up and down the side as well as the shadow on the ground sort of framing the shrine. I don't know exactly what it is, but overall this is incredible.

I love the colors of the shrine. Is it not a mosque too? I digress, the colors in full view are so beautiful and the patterns on the shrine that you caught are amazing. Something very serene in the photo.
