Well our autumn began wonderfully, warm and nice, but then it started raining, and then the cold came in, it's around 53F during daytime but it goes below freezing at night When the sun decides to make an appearance it helps, but not by much...and to top it off, they're announcing this winter to be the coldest in the last thousand years, with temperatures going down to -30C(-22F) on a regular basis
Yes, we still can't believe Pasa is gone , we still go out with treats for him and the others and we realize something's wrong when he doesn't show up but there's nothing more we can do. Goofy is sweet and all, but he's no Pasa

Anyway, life goes on, and right now Ileana is demanding my attention, hope to talk some more soon, take care and enjoy the vacation!

well, it sounds like my over-the-top on the warm fleece blanket that I made for Ileana is going to get to see it's fair share of use this winter, then I'm still not ready for any of the nasty white yet... and that's the beauty part of what we discovered when we stayed here that first week, 2 years ago... and then even longer last year... and now again this year... we are able to "extend" our warm Indian Summer type fall weather... and relax at the same time ...which puts us in a much better frame of mind... as well as interest level ...when we finally have to go home and face not only the frigid weather... but the mounds of s that must be made before pulls the sleighs for Christmas I just wish we'd thought of it years ago

I know precisely what you mean ...after Little Guy being our faithful companion for 18 years... we still miss him... and he's already been gone a year now And for the first time in our marriage... we are "catless" (well except for Comet when we are at home ) ...and we haven't gotten the "bug", yet... to actually get some more kitties, either We've talked about it... and we think we want to get another brother/sister pair of Siamese... or maybe two brothers (as the males do live longer) ...but, the time just hasn't seemed "right", yet ...for some reason

For the longest time, we kept expecting to hear Little Guy make one of his "sarcastic" comments that he was so famous for ...and I finally had to remove his chair from the kitchen, and put it underneath the table in the plant room... because I kept expecting to turn around and see him Even now, every once in a while when we are sleeping... one of us will "feel" him jump up on the bed... and Bob has felt him "settle" into his old position between Bob's legs, on top of the covers, several times Even Comet seems confused, occasionally... that Little Guy's face isn't at the screen on the backdoor... to hiss at him!

I figure that when we least expect it... two little cute Siamese kitties will "appear" on our horizon... and we'll know they are the ones!
In the meantime, I've got to remember to get a frame for the beautiful needlepoint picture that you made of him

Oh, the blankie is in use for about a month now, it gets pretty cold at night and when she starts to squirm around I know she's a bit cold and I just slowly cover her up and she goes right back to sleep
Well you elves deserve this vacation, and what's better than warmth on the beach to recharge your batteries just in time for winter ? Honestly, I would have loved for the good weather to hold until at least the first week of november (oh, yeah, I forgot, Ileana's baptism is on the 6th) but I found consolation in the little Christmas decorations we keep bringing out If I can't have warmth, I might as well start Christmas early, right?
You're right, you'll just know when your perfect kitty will finally come up to you

Thank you, Lynne! Well she is calm when we're outside and luckily Chris always has a camera close, so I have to say I'm very thankful for this photo And indeed she's growing, I can't wait for warm weather again so I can dress her in real girls clothes
