What can an Orange Star do for the Green of Twilight?

It was only just a dream, nothing more, nothing less. Just her mind trying to makes sense of all the electrical energy firing off in her brain while she slept.

The sound of metal clashes through the air, just before Orihime can call up a shield. Her eyes are wide at the sight before her. In the wind, the robe ruffles and all her eyes are focusing is the number on his back.

She's in love. Everyone knows it, even the man she's fallen for. But she knows that she's not what he's looking for. They care about each other, sure, but as close friends and nothing more.

"This woman is under my protection. I will not allow the likes of you to touch her." The voice of her rescue is as neutral as ever. Or so it would seem to a newcomer. But to her, to her she hears the anger on his breath.

After everything that happened, that he did to her, she shouldn't miss him. And even though she tells herself that she does, her head and her heart have always been two separate matters entirely. After all, he did pay her more attention than most, and was actually interested in mind and spirit rather than her body.

Squad 4. The healing team. And yet here he is fighting on her behalf, protecting her as if its his duty. And maybe it is, now that he's free to do as he wants. The enemy has fallen as he sheaths his sword and turns to face her.

It's been a thought in the back of her mind, for the longest time. Could she bring him back? Simple will him back into existence with the call of a name? After all Aizen himself had said that she had the ability to do so to a degree. And he had been right on a many accounts, as much as no one wanted to admit.

"Are you alright, woman?" Piercing green eyes locked with, black hair and pale skin contrasting her orangey brown and tan complexion. He reaches a hand out for her--her knees had given way at some point, she realized--and she takes it only to wrap her arms around his waist. She starts sobbing and hiccuping, accusing him of leaving her and causing her to worry. She can't see it, but he's smiling a little, as he hugs her back. Because now, neither of them are alone.

But she's knows that a silly thing to think of. After all he's gone, turned to ash before her very eyes. Besides, she is in love!

...and yet there's this tiny ache in her heart, as if she's missing something important.

She finally answers her question once her tears have tried up. "No. I am NOT okay."
