Description This mermaid was inspired by a fish I saw in my grandmother's aquarium [link] I'm not sure what type of fish it is but I'm assuming that maybe it's a koi fish?

I really like this concept. The fact that even though the mermaid is based off of the fish (which does, indeed, look to be a koi of some kind) it still fits in the colour with an underwater gemstone.
