This was taken at 7:30PM this evening, by a canal in
Ft. Lauderdale. Shortly after this was taken, the storm
came through hard.

Those are whips for the boat when you bring it back to the dock.
They get hooked on, and hold the boat in its place. It was a beautiful
scene, till the storm came through, although they don't last very long.

Oh how fascinating, I've never seen anything like that. They only use bollards here to hold boats still. Or for small boats there are concrete ramps into the water so people reverse their boat trailer down into the shallows and then winch the boat onto the trailer.

Ah, just lovely.....stayed there for a long weekend with my daughter 3 years ago.....and of course many years ago on another spring break.

Thanks so much, Lois. We were lucky...just a run of the mill
lightning/thunder/rain storm. Typical for this time of the year
here in Florida.

with Smokey. BTW, I was listening to music on youtube last night, and
got hooked on Music from Daryl's House...Daryl Hall and his band playing
with many different stars, AMAZING!!!! Smokey, AWB, etc. If you aren't
familiar with the series, check it out, you'll love it. They look like
they are having the time of their lives.
